Hello I just joined the forum the other day, on new years day I picked up a 1950 Chevy 1/2 ton panel. Its going to be a very slow build as where I am located is snowy and cold and I don't have a garage. With that said I am very excited about the truck and the few months I have to gather information from the many forum topics on here.

Wallsguy, welcome to the Stovebolt and congrats on your panel. They are getting harder and harder to find. They really make a nice ride.....I sold mine after building and driving it for 14 years and now I sure wish I had kept it.
We are here to help and any questions you have just ask them in the most appropriate forum and we'll do the rest.

Welcome to the forum. Yes, I heard it's cold up there, I have friends in Westlock. Do you have all the major body parts? I built my 1953 panel about 10 years ago, it was mostly fun and rewarding. Enjoy your project and ask here if you need help.
Thank you for the welcome, The panel does have most the body parts with it. I'll have rust repair to do on door bottoms and lower quarter panels, I'm sure more will be obvious once I get into the project. I haven't dug through all the snow inside yet for what other parts may still be buried inside. The weather is supposed to be warmer next week so I'll shovel it out see what gold maybe hiding. Then I'll be looking out the window at it till spring dreaming about what I'd like to do to it, but then reality of my budget will cut my dreams in half for sure lol.
The weather has been much nicer this week I managed to go through parts in the back of my panel. There's some parts missing and some too damaged to use as to be expected, the only real let down is the chrome fender trims I am missing one. It appears to be from the drivers side rear lowest of the trims I'm missing. Anyways as said with no garage I have to wait till spring to get a good start on project at that time I'll start a build thread to post on.
Hopefully Old Man Winter eases up early this year. Welcome aboard. Don’t hesitate to reach out on here via PM. There are a few Bolters in your neck of the woods.
