The original has 7 wires and the universal replacement switch has 6. So I was wondering if one of you guys has picture or diagram on how the non original switch wires up. I haven’t bought one yet , just going by the pictures online. Both are 6 volt.

The parking light leg is broken off mine but I don’t see any reason why I can’t put that wire on the tail light leg, other than that all I have to do is clean up switch and grease it like you said.

Lots of newer vehicles do that, so there shouldn't be a problem doing it that way. Does the universal switch have the dash light dimmer and the dome light ground built in?

Gotta do that to get it out of the truck ! Put the tube on your WD 40 as deep as it will go in the switch,spray and pull it out to lube the dry switch. Don't think WD will hurt the switch,sure frees them up . | | |
