| | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | A few pics of a Stovebolt or any inline 4,6, or 8 cylinder engine lift bar I whipped together in a short time with scrap material, a cutting torch, and a couple of long 3/8-16 bolts. The lift point can be moved to holding the engine near vertical at the front to balanced level with the trans attached. Used for 20 years with zero issues and hanging from a single point can be tilted, rolled, or angled with little resistance. Really a work saver. Overall view shows long bolts that run through rocker stands, 7/16 nuts welded on underside of bolt holes to space bar above rockers, and a series of lift point holes to hold engine at desired angle.
