For those of you who may have searched for modern paint codes and came up short - The PPG 32669 paint code for Thistle Gray (Radiator grill bars 1954 Chevy Truck 3604) crosses to an Akzo Nobel FLNA7076.

I tried and tried to find the 32983 Anvil Gray ( Bumper and Hub Caps 1954 Chevy Truck 3604) and lo and behold I called Orielly's Auto Parts and they are able to use the PPG 32983 and cross reference within their paint system.

I'm hoping this information is helpful to others. I have not sprayed either mixed paint color but once I do, I'll take pics and share them.

Have a great weekend , everyone!

Ron

Thanks for this Ron. I'm also working on a 1954 3604 and I'm very interested to know how well these crosses match.

Dido Thanks. My original paint on the grill was still there, so I matched that up at the Sherwin Williams automotive paint dealer. The bumper paint was all gone. I will check out O'Reilly's for the Anvil gray.

Ok , here's some pics. Not sure if these will provide enough clarity. Let me know if you need more pics .

Ron

I tried Orielly's. They told me there was no cross reference for the PPG #. Maybe the counter guy didn't know how to correctly search.

Do you have the O'Reilly's number or color name that you can share? That would help others looking for Anvil Gray.

Thanks

Sorry I missed this request. Here's what I've got for both colors . If you need additional info please PM me and that way I'll see it in time to react. Thanks for the suggestion Kevin.

First two pics are of the paint can, Anvil Gray

Second two pics are of the Thistle Gray
