Alabama to be more specific. I found this place a while back while looking at a possible project truck that was out in the junkyard. The amount of info here is almost overwhelming, and I haven't even scratched the surface I'm sure. There will be a thread about my truck in General Truck talk, once it passes moderation. I believe it's a 1955 3600 and the rest of the info will be in that thread if you are interested. With a little luck, this truck will be worth saving and I'll be hanging around for the future.
OlderBlue, welcome to the Stovebolt from another sunny South guy. (S.C.) The task force style truck is nice looking and parts are available for it from one of the truck vendors. Visit often and ask questions in the garage forums and we'll do the rest. Good luck and keep us posted.
Welcome to the “Bolt”! Good luck and looking forward to seeing your truck!

Welcome, your truck is a 1955 first series. You will need that information when ordering parts. The body changed to the Task Force style mid-year.

Thanks for the welcome! This truck has a long road to travel but I'm looking forward to it. I needed this project like I needed a hole in my head. If I keep this up I'll have more irons than I will fire.
Welcome to the "BOLT". It's great to have another Southern truck on the site.

Thanks fellas. It's really a shame what happened to this old truck, but I know at the time it was just another old beater. I'm hopeful it will lead to this truck being saved. Afterall, if it hadn't been cut up, I doubt I'd have gotten it for free.
