I met with a guy this morning that has made a mold for the Step Pads, & left with some of my Fender Pads to make molds from them. He is doing them in rubber as original, & bought a sample of the step pads with him, & I must tell ya, he did a good job with them, & I expect him to good a good job with the Fender Pads as well. I compared his Step Pads, with the ones I purchased from Jim Carter, & they are just as "Authentic". The Fender Pads should be ready soon. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 7 Member | | Member Joined: Apr 2003 Posts: 7 | Thanks for the heads up Spanky...I need a set for my '52. They will be glue on type, as the step pads are. He said it would make them too expensive to include the metal. I guess, if a guy wanted to, he could remove the metal from the Fender Pads being replaced, & glue them to the new pads. | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 477 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2001 Posts: 477 | i need a set spanky! i was getting ready to fab up everything out of treadplate aluminum. see if you can get a cost for us! | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 | I'll keep ya posted,Koolkar. | | |
