His 1951 half ton is all original. How many gallons does his Harrison radiator hold? Thanks.

| | | | | Joined: Mar 2019 Posts: 119 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2019 Posts: 119 | If you check the Oner’s Manual for a 1951 Chevy truck you will see that the total cooling system capacity is 15 quarts. If there is a passenger compartment heater the capacity is 16 quarts.
So you need 8 quarts (2 gallons) of antifreeze to achieve a 50/50 solution.
