I got mine some time ago from Brothers trucks. Jute backing with neoprene rubber face. Pre punched holes. Was about$50. Worked out nicely. John

Thanks. I think the neoprene is what I’m looking for. It will be about the same thing the floor mat is made of. Checked their website and it is on back order. I’ll type that in as a Google search and see what comes up. Thanks again.

The originals were fiberboard with fiberglass insulation on the side facing the firewall. I think neoprene would sag unless it has some sort of reinforcement in it. I believe that the pad was stuck on with some sort adhesive as well as the pins going thru the sheetmetal. I scraped some of that adhesive off the inside my firewall before getting it sandblasted.

I will look out for sagging if I decide to go the neoprene route. Maybe a few extra clips at the top will help. I took a look at your pictures of your build . Nice job. That's a lot of metal work.

I bought mine from classic parts. Its got a felt style insulation on the back and the front is just a thin rubbery vinyl material thats smooth. I think it looks and works perfect when I was building mine to look factory. I used the jim carter floor mat with the insulation pad under it and I love the way it came out.

Looked on both eBay and classic parts and those are ideal for this build. Matched with the rubber mat and that will be just right. I will have to put classic parts on the list for another parts supplier. Thanks. .

I bought the one from classic parts with the rubber face. Seems like it will be a good one. I'll find out soon when I install it. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
