When I bought my truck it was already lowered (the wrong way). The springs were heated so bad they look like twisted up pretzels. The stance of the truck is pretty good but ride quality suffers. I am planing on doing all the suspension at one time (bushings, ball joints, end links, springs, shocks ect..) But what I am not sure of is how far they lowered this truck.

From the ground to the bottom of the front wheel well is 26 1/2". The ground to the bottom of the rear is 24". Would somone mind measuring their truck (lowered or not) and let me know where it is at (if lowered please mention your drop). Thanks a ton.

Are you referring to the 63 truck? Someone will chime in here. Mine is a 51 so I'll sit this one out. Except to say, all I did was to swap the rear springs from above the axle to under, and the front is a MII which lowered the front 2".

Would you mind taking a measurement at full ride height? I'm trying to guage how low the truck is now compared to stock.

Super,

I measured my '62, and it is stock height as far as I know. I measured from ground to bottom of the fender lip 29 inches both front and rear. Truck has stock springs and T-bars, so they may have settled a little since '62.

Mag, Thanks for the stock numbers.

Gazim, Your saying at 24" you are 2" bellow stock? That front must be burried!!!

Only when I let the air out. Otherwise, 24" still rides fine.
