I will be using a Lokar trans bolt on mount but will go back with the original foot operated parking brake. I know it would be easier to attach at the tranny but I wanted more foot space for a third passenger.

i use a lokar nostalgia shifter and a 11" hand brake and i am going to change it to a 16" because it feels to short. it works fairly well but if you can, use the original. it feels more correctly.
i could not use the original because i change the frame and front end on my 56 truck.

I Then mounted a original '37 park brake lever to the side of the shifter mount. It only took drilling a hole or two and the brake rod lined right with the truck mounted parts.
