I am thinking about getting new steering arms as well. Does anybody know a place to buy them? No luck in the local junk yards, and I can't seem to find them in the place I know of online. '47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

Ed The "Steering Knuckle Arm and Steering Arm's" are found in Group 6.103 55-59 1/2 ton Steering Knuckle Arm...(forged 3711777)....p/n 3711883 55-59 1/2 ton Steering Arm.....p/n 3755045 Mike B  | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,097 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,097 | I have not seen any of them aftermarket. Those parts have to be removed from the axle to be able to remove the ball. Clean them up and you will probably find that they are OK. They are solid components and the only wear area is the ball. Unless they have been damaged in a wreck. The new type tie rods are a big improvement.
