Hello all,

Jumping over from the Big Bolt thread, I asked for a rear Hub grease seal part number for my 1.5 Ton 46 with single speed diff.
It has been mentioned the book has two part numbers one for a "Splined Hub" and "Unsplined" hub. Could someone please explain this
difference as several vendors only list one seal with no mention of it.

Thanks

Some hubs have a metal cover bolted over the axle, with teeth resembling a gear on the axle flange and corresponding gear-shaped female teeth in the hub. Other axles have conventional flanges that drive the hub with bolts or studs. If your hubs have a bolt-on sheet metal cover over the axle flanges, you've got a "splined hub".
