Jumping over from the Big Bolt thread, I asked for a rear Hub grease seal part number for my 1.5 Ton 46 with single speed diff. It has been mentioned the book has two part numbers one for a "Splined Hub" and "Unsplined" hub. Could someone please explain this difference as several vendors only list one seal with no mention of it.

Other axles have conventional flanges that drive the hub with bolts or studs. If your hubs have a bolt-on sheet metal cover over the axle flanges, you've got a "splined hub". Jerry
