We are checking in on pricing Stovebolt decals. Size and numbers do matter on the pricing. I'm thinking just the standard Stovebolt logo in either 4x4 inches or 6x6 inches. Something that will go on a back window. Should it have a white background? Or a clear background? Color of logo? Size? We will order only one design and color so I need a lot of input. We also will not know the price till some decisions on what we want are made. Even from that evil crew, the ODSS, they may want some.
Scroll down this link to see the pricing.
Please give us some input! Don

6by6 to big. Go with 4by4. Clear background. I wouldnt think many people are going to put a 6by6 big white sticky on any color truck, than white or black. At least i aint. JMO
How does this grab you? This is the one I sent to John. It measures 8.5 x 3.75 inches
I just snapped a pic of it, and the cover that rips off is a little smudged. I have the PDF file that I can send with John's permission (since he owns the design) and it would be ready to produce.

Glen Thanks for the input, I myself would like it to be clear background. 4x4 would also be a better size for the older smaller back window Bolts.
Kevin, Is that a decal for glass or a bumper sticker? I would prefer a decal for glass. I do like the design and it fits this years Reunion. But like Glenn just said, we don't want it too big.
Keep the thoughts coming in, this is a team effort! Don

Don, that's for glass. I printed it on static cling vinyl and then dusted the back with white paint so it showed up better. It doesn't have to be as large as that, It could be scaled down easily to say 5" x ~2" I see that John just posted it in your ODSS thread about decals, so he must approve of using it.

Thanks Kevin! I have been in contact with John and the design you posted will be the one. We just need to decide the size and see what Shelley can do and get pricing. 5x2 May be a good size. I don't know the price yet, but when we get a size, we can get a price. Once I get an Idea of how many folks are interested, I'll probably order a bunch and sell them at the rounded up dollar cost. Make it a whole lot easier not having to deal with change. I'm also thinking the ODSS and the Texas Connection will want some.
OK folks, give us your thoughts! Don

I'm in (even though I have a home-made one) and I know a few other guys up here who'd go for one. I think 5x2 would be a good size. It wouldn't overwhelm the rear window of an AD.

Just a reminder folks. I'm not going to take on the task and mail them out to everyone that wants one or two. I have asked the Mods of the different areas, to be the distributor in their area. If someone wants to take on the whole distribution and mailing, Just let me know. This is not a "for profit scheme". I just hope to break even and help out with the Stovebolt cause. Pick them up at the Reunion or be a distributor. Still waiting on a price, but the interest seems to be getting big!
Those in far away lands like Europe, Australia, Canada or Alaska I may make an exception, after the Reunion. Don

Great design. I'll take 4. I'm still waiting for my Driver's License that's due today, so don't mail it. I'll pick them up at the Reunion. Tom's driving.
Great Jim! Looking forward to chatting with you and Tom again! Will the wives be with you?

Still waiting on John M. the finish the design? I'll then order at least 50 of them.

Alrighty then. What do you think of this for t-shirts, decals, etc? The t-shirt version will need to be simplified some to save on printing costs, but I can work that out with Shelly. NOTE: This attached file is a PROOF, not a hirez for reproduction. Let me know who to send the high-rez files to and in what preferred format. I have it in .psd right now as a very high resolution Photoshop working file with all the layers, effects, etc editable so if someone like Shelly wants to adjust anything to suit the particular reproduction method/application (and knows how to use Photoshop ... Adobe Creative Cloud 2020 version) they can without spending time trying to explain to me what they want. As long as the final does not depart radically from this.
I thought the tag line fairly well sums up what we do around here ...

You should have put a 39 Chevy Grill on it tho!! Since those were "our" first trucks on the site. JK.. I've taken a PS class and forgotten more than I've learned, particularly about layers.
Another quality post. Real Trucks Rattle HELP! The Paranoids are after me!
Well, I *am* a 4302 after all ... You are correct, of course, but the '39 grill is too vertical. I needed something horizontal and the TF trucks are pretty iconic. It's also a bone thrown to the TF crowd as we get a rep here and there for being too AD centric. Probably earned ... And we had the '46 on there for years and years and years ...

That's funny, because this year's Reunion t-shirt design was originally going to be a '39. It eventually morphed into a '38. At least I have a huge headstart on the design for next year's Reunion t-shirt!

I'm not sure what graphic formats Shelly can accommodate, but I sent her a vector graphic for last year's shirts. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the artwork.

....is THAT a TF truck? Clean up the truck. Make it at least look like its suppose to. Not much clarity on the truck.......I'm sorry, 38 years in printing business kicked in.

If it will help, you can email me the Photoshop file and I'll re-draw it in Illustrator (like I did the front pocket graphic of last year's t-shirt). If Shelly can adequately process the .psd file directly, then it's unneccesary.

Dude, it's an artistic representation, not a CAD file.

Sorry John, I'll handle the decals, but the shirts, draft someone else into that job of distribution.
The design looks great though! Don

No, Alvin's point is well taken and just the sort of input I need. Now that he mentions it ... It could use a little more work. *I* know what it is *supposed* to be ... but that isn't much good if no one else can see it. Until someone gives me a deadline, I will keep working on it.

Just heard from John yesterday and the decal design is done. He just needs to get it to the printer and I'll be the main distributor. Craig, will you help distribute them among the southern Bolters?

Haven't gotten the decals yet. Hope to get the regional moderators to be the distributors in their areas. Price is still looking like an even 2 bucks each. Any profit will go to fund the Stovebolt site. Be patient, it will take a while to get them to the masses.
