Tryin to pull the harmonic balancer off of a 270 engine in a 1950 GMC 350 model truck?
In a bad spot and I can’t tell what the threaded holes are?
Anyone know what the thread is for the two holes to pull the damper?Thanks again for the knowledge!

Tried 5/16 coarse thread–- that’s not it, too small a diameter
Seems like I need a 3/8 fine thread maybe...
Have puller... just missin that bolt size in my set....😞

That's what a 216 , 235, and 261 all have, and I'm pretty sure those balancers will interchange with some GMC's. Try using a thread chaser to clean up the threads, but don't force it. I like to take a tap that's too dull to cut threads any more and grind the sharp points off the threads to make a chaser. I pulled a 216 balancer yesterday- - - -3/8-16. Chevy V8's use 3/8-24 threads in the 3 puller holes.

Took out the small set screw and tried to punch pin thru but hits edge of pulley.... too much to even force past...?
Any suggestions how this balancer comes off?
