Has anyone with a 55-59 big bolt added power steering to their truck? I'm looking at a CPP kit that looks to be correct for my 56 Bus and wondered if anyone has done this.

Fred,

I don't think that steering box is rated for a 1-1/2 ton SBC. The Sector Shaft and Pitman Arm used in the 3000 Series trucks is smaller than whats on the 4000 Series and up trucks.

See if your Pitman Arm has this number forged into it...3728413 (55-57 1-1/2 ton, SBC, with Heavy Duty Steering).
