I think they also come with a bit of a warranty. http://www.gmperformanceparts.com if there is a dealer near you, it might be something to check out. also check out the parts links page here at the bolt: http://www.stovebolt.com/links/parts.htm -W | | | | Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 172 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 172 | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 2,384 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 2,384 | Check the price at a couple of Chevy dealers, my buddy found $150 difference between 2 dealers only 7 miles apart. There are a few large dealers that advertise crate motors that do have good prices. Sallee in CA is one. I was looking for a RamJet 350 and found the best deal at Apple Chevrolet in York, PA. Ask about shipping and where they'll delivery. Mine was put on the floor of my garage. You may have to pick others up at a local distribution center. | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | I buy the basic Goodwrench 350 in the K.C. area for about $1400 plus tax. Most large metro areas have 1or2 dealers that sell in volumn like Jerry is talking about. You could pick it up there or some have delivery service to ouylying areas. It seems shipping would expensive & inconvenient. A big truck shows up at your place & expects you to get it off the back of the truck. Dan-pa is correct about Jaspers. They have a good engine & warranty but for the Chev. v-8,s I prefer the Goodwrench. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
