The truck is a 1959 235 1/2 ton 4 speed with 15 inch tires has anybody done this gear swap and found a speedometer gear that is right or close to right? I did a search and could not come up with any results. Thanks Steve

If you had a 390 rear and the calibration was right you'll need an adapter that speeds the cable up by 10% or a +1.10 ratio. Where did you get the 3:55 gear set from. Is your rear end still original? I have a 57 1/2 ton and all I find is the 3:38 gear set.
