I'm having throttle linkage issues. I've attached 3 photos.
One of the prints is image from shop manual. This is my setup exactly however the vertical rod that connects from the swivel is different. The one in the manual is straighter with just one bend vs the one that I actually have. I've attached a picture of the one I have after sandblasting it. As you can see it has multiple bends, but seems to be the correct length and has the proper spring hole. The last photo is my actual truck and how the rod connects to the carb throttle. It looks to be far or angled away from the carb and should be more vertical, coming straight up directly to the throttle?
Is my setup ok? Does anyone have the actual straight rod I need?
My concern is that my throttle on the carb not only goes up and down as it should, but there seems to he some left to right play which leaves my rpms running higher than they should when I let off the gas....
