I have a 56 4400 and am considering putting it on a later model (70s-80s) 1 ton dually frame. Maybe with a widened 56 chevy stepside bed to fit over the dual wheels. Make like a hot rod dually out of it. Any Ideas?

There is one, a TF era truck, I'm not sure exactly what year, on a 1-ton 4x4 chassis in a neighboring community to me. Its a good looking truck. I've never seen it in motion, it lives parked in front of a car wash.

That makes some of the older cabs difficult to sit right on them. If your frame is staight under the cab then it will not be a direct bolt on. I would recommend a 88 or newer.
