Here's some eye candy for you engine lovers: A freshly painted stovebolt!
I chose turquoise to match my license plate, but now I'm having trouble deciding weather or not to go two-tone by painting some of the covers another color? For some reason the camera makes it look more blue... in real life it looks more like the attached rustoleum sample
Currently thinking about dark yellow for the chevy letters, filter cap, timing cover... side cover is really hard to decide, leaning towards keeping it same color as block. Black oil pan?
It's funny how I'm excited to paint the engine... but not planning to touch the body
My opinion is to keep it the way it is and accent with yellow. Ie lettering, plug wires, etc. that way it stands out and draws your eye to it. It’s your engine and truck to modify the way you want. Only you know what is in your head. Good luck, have fun and post some after pictures.
Thanks for the replies & picture! Nice horn btw Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... but it's fun to share & see what others think too. Will post pictures when I'm done!
Other than the chevy script on top, which is a little indistinct, I think you did a good job. I like it.

I've always like that color.....some Chevy's were painted a color close to that. I'm thinking about a 60 Chev coupe I had like that. I think it is a real "clean" looking color. Back in my day i think it was called Tahitiaon Turquoise or sometthing like that. Anyway, I like it!
