Mornin' folks. Just acquired a 1949 Chev 3800, runs and drives. Not my first project by any means but it is my first pickup of this vintage - also the first 1 ton... a little different than a 1/2 ton so looking forward to getting this ole girl on the road shortly.

Welcome to Stovebolt. Take some time and get use to the site as it has a lot to offer. We also have a garage forum for one ton trucks so be sure to visit it and utilize all the garage forums when you have questions.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Welcome, welcome!
This is the site for all your questions. I couldn’t have done my 1 ton without it. The ole one tons are a different breed and people seem to love them. Mine sure has grown on me!
