I would like to get a straight frame with IFS. I heard that a 2wd 73-87 1/2 ton short box chevy will work. Or a s-10 2wd extended cab frame would work. Does anyone have any information on this. If so how much fabing would be needed to pull this off. What are the pros and cons.
thanks

I just bought a 85 c10 with p/s and brakes. I've been told that ya can remove all the frame rail bolts and riverts and slide the whole mess up under the 65. True??? Thanks, George Hood . CLinton N.C.

Here's a fella that sells a kit to do the conversion. If your good at fabricating, you could probably tackle it yourself without the kit. http://www.ad-engineering.com/ -Rich | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 6 Junior Member | Junior Member Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 6 | I am looking to put the sheet metal from my 1939 chevy on a more modern 70s - 80s frame and drivetrain any one have any info | | |
