I have a 53 panel and all the mounts are either gone or missing parts , I know the fronts are just like the trucks but the ones from the seat riser back are just wood blocks just sitting on the frame . Any pictures would help cannot figure out what was at the two holes where the seat riser and wood floor meet. Thanks 1/2 ton panel truck

1/2 ton 1953 Chevrolet Panel?

If someone can confirm that the blocks are the same on 1/2 ton Panels & Suburbans for all years (1947-1955st), I can show you photos for my 1954 Suburban

My panel is a 1953 1/2 ton

My 52 panel, which i believed to be original when I tore it down, had wooden blocks with a type of rubber pad under them. The pads and wooden blocked were nailed in place on the body before the body was set down on the frame.....had to be!

I made new blocks and used a thick piece of old fire hose which had a couple layers of what looked like polyester with a rubber core. Them suckers will never rot.

Here a "photolog" of the blocks/rubber used on a Suburban.I cannot find a part number (Or years) for that part/spacer/block.

If someone can find a listing in a Master Part Catalog, please post a link, and/or, post a group-number/part-number for that part (and the year/years).

Yeah, my 1953 half ton panel similar to Alvin's. I also put a thin rubber shim between the frame and the wooden blocks to keep the creaking down.

Here are some mount pics.
The 1st pic is the back side of mount 2, drivers side. (seat riser and wood floor meet mount)
The 2nd pic is the front side of mount 2, drivers side.(seat riser and wood floor meet mount)
The 3rd & 4th pics are for referencing pics locations.

The drivers side & passenger side body mounts across from each other are the same.
There are a of 5 pairs of body mounts. Total of 10 body to frame mounting points.

If you need pics of mounts 1, 3, 4, 5 locations let me know.
