Well, as stated I'm a new C10 owner, just purchased a '66 C10 last Friday. Picked the truck up in North Carolina. She's pretty complete and in decent shape, looks to be a several years old frame off resto. She has a 1975 250 and three on the tree. A few things I need to do that I'm aware of right off, new tires, it's sporting some nice looking Michelins, they have plenty of tread, but the paperwork in the dash says they were purchased in 1995 and they are dry rotted on the sidewalls really bad. It currently has a 1 barrel carb that I would like to replace with a dbl barrel. I pulled the vent windows out because they were loose and not closing, from what I've read this may be a nasty project. Eventually I'll need to replace the door window treatments too, they are pretty worn. Need to figure out why the gas gauge doesn't work and the interior light and the license plate light isn't working, both could just be bulbs. Overall I'm thrilled with the purchase, I've always wanted an old truck. Looking forward to leaning in here to possibly get some help and gain some knowledge.

I've been a VCCA member (#55014) for several years as I also own a '25 Superior 4 door sedan and a '32 Confederate BA 4 door sedan. The '25 is still a work in progress but the '32 is a nice driver. Love these old pieces of history.

JT, welcome to the Stovebolt. As Rusty Rod says, thats a nice looking pickup you have. Take it one project at a time, see it through and drive and enjoy. You can find all the help you will need in the Garage Forums so don't be bashful. Drop in often and be sure to check out all the tech tips and links.

Watch for other bolters in your area. I know they are around here.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
