There is no cure!  BTW, you do know this is a site dedicated to pre 1973 GMC and Chevy Trucks? While your car is super cool, (I have a 1939 Dodge Coupe), it is not a truck. Feel free to discuss “Engine Specific” questions in the Engine Forum but the rest of your automobile questions will have to go in the Greasy Spoon. We like our trucks.

Yes, there are a lot of things (drivelines/engines) related to cars and trucks that are alike or similar. You are welcome here at Stovebolt, for sure, but if you have a particular car question I would recommend the VCCA group as they are predominantly car folks. Lots of info here so take your time to get familiar with all Stovebolt has to offer. See you around the garage forums.
