My project came with glass fenders that need to be installed. One fender had the holes drilled for the center upper bracket, but the other didn't. I want to make sure the holes on fender 1 are correct before drilling #2. I have an assy manual, but wanted to see if others had been in this debacle
Mine does not have glass fenders. But you might want to put the year, make and model of your Panel on your profile so the members know what you are dealing with.

I put glass fenders on a mg b and you have to have patience . They don’t put the holes in because they are made from moulds and They are not like the steel fenders thicker and fitting them is a chore. I think if you were doing it yourself and took your time you could make them look okay but if you had to pay labour for installing them I think it would be cheaper to have metal fenders in the long run .I would line up the fender with the door and hood and only put a few holes in first before drilling all of the holes
Didn't have fiberglass on my panel but have been running fiberglass fenders, both front and rear, as well as fiberglass running boards on my 37 Pickup for over 20 years. No problems and most folks tap them and think they are metal. My fenders were made "hand lappiong" fiberglass and I feel they are much better than the ones made by spraying. Spraying is not consistent and will have light spots. .........all this is just my .02 cent.
....and I might add, be sure to keep any fiberglass fenders laying "flat" so they do not "set" and this is especially true with fenders that are "green" or still "fresh". Got my fiberglass from Richard Keller, R&R Fiberglass in Tenn......he's been doing it for many years.
Not a panel but my 3600 has front glass fenders. The second owner bought it from old farmer's family when he died a few years ago and eventhough it was a sub 40k truck that lived in a barn it was a farm work truck and the fenders were pretty beat up. His easy/cheap button was fiberglass. The paint's pretty good and you really can't they're not metal unless you look underneath. I painted the back side flat black and that along with the normal amount of country dust and mud makes it almost impossible to tell they're not originals. And, if ever damaged it's pretty easy to repair and no rust, ever.
For a few months I thought I'd buy original steel and change them out. Now I don't think I would even if someone donated a free set. My truck is a working, every day (as needed) driver so what's the point.
I'd use glass if price was favorable and never look back.
I purchase a set of Fiberglass rear fenders for my 1955 1st series Panel. I`m very happy with the quality and look. The only thing I had to do was after I mounted the fender install the welt. There were small gaps or low spots where the welt was not staying place. The low spots were mark and I used Kitty hair Bondo to fill in these gaps .After several mock ups I was pleased with the fit I painted both fenders.I expected the fenders would need twiking when I received them . And very happy how strong they are. I had it on the panel almost four years. Update I found a NOS left steel fender and installed it and restoring my original right steel fender. I have no problem with the fiberglass fenders they saved me from not having to wait so long for not driving the panel. I have seen them on a couple of panel and suburbans , they all looked to fit really nice.
