I'm sure some hole plugging and drilling would be required. The entire latch assembly inside the door is different, the striker on the cab is different, and the mounting holes for the handle are different. It has been a number of years, but in the past I tried to convert a 52 door to the turn down handle for use on my 51. Nothing fit right, and I wound up finding a good 51 door instead.

From my take over the years it can be a hassle for sure and if my memory is good most say it would be best to look for someone wanting to go the opposite way and trade doors.....or look for donor doors.
Save yourself a lot of aggravation and 4 letter words and look for later doors.........in the meantime enjoy what you have and maybe, just maybe you'll decide to stay with what you have???
