You know the ignition is run off of the front of the crankshaft so I'm thinking you'll have to change the oil pump, at least, to run a conventional distributor. Also, the water pump is driven by the camshaft, so drive belts are going to be a problem too,

You will need an LT1 carbureted manifold about $260 for your L99 engine.
A carbutetor and a distributor.
All this is available through GM Performance Products. You will make more horsepower, get better fuel mileage, and the engine should last longer.
