Has anyone used the Centramatic wheel balancer? I’m still running my original 53, 1-ton 17.5” rims with Cooker radial tubed tires. I took them to be balanced, realizing the odds of a perfect balance were slim but something is better than nothing. Fast forward 4 years, new power plant, and 4:10 rear, higher speeds are achievable, and unfortunately vibrations.
Looking for any input, on this.

Several on the TDR site (Turbodiesel Registery, a Dodge Cummins forum) used them, posted about their experience a few years ago. As I recall, reports were positive. Biggest downside that kept me from trying a set was the expense. They were a bit pricey.

Hence my inquiry on this mopar. If it works, I’m in! There are a lot of good reviews on newer equipment, so I guess it should work in my case

I do recall that Centramatic balance rings were/are very vehicle specific. The ones for a 2500 Dodge would not work on a dually 3500. Makes sense, but I'd suggest a call to the manufacture to discuss your truck.

Or you could just balance the tires with good quality spin balance ........if that does not work there’s an issue with the tire, rim, bearing, suspension ( kings pins, tie rods, steering box, pitman ) or other parts.

Rings, beads and balance liquids are just short of fraud, scam and are one of the most controversial topics on forums. So suspect there will be fire storm on how well they work after spending $50-$500 on the devices or products.
No tire, rim or vehicle allows or condones or recommends any of the products. So that will bring out the conspiracy theory of big companies.

We have been using glass beads at work in our 11R22.5 school bus tires. Our rear engine, 84 passenger buses are very touchy about front tire balance, we have a balancer that works, but the beads are working much better. Just toss in a 16 ounce bag and go. We have been fighting this for 6 years, the beads are the only thing that as worked 100% of the time. I believe you can shoot them in through the valve core if running tubes, you would need a injector tool. www.counteractbalancing.com

The entire front end is new, and aligned. The issue is, I'm using the original rims to keep the original look to the truck. They were high speed balanced by a very reputable mechanic. Even with that, they could only get them close. I new that going in.
We used the bead type in truck tires prior with good results. I'm operating with tubed tires due to the original rim's, so just throwing beads in is out of the question. ( unless someone knows any different)

If a tire has issues like radial force variation or other uniformity problems ............no amount of balancing or add on products are going to fix the problem.

I had a problem with trailer tires causing constant vibration until I found a tire shop that would shave the tires and make them perfectly round.
