I have a 1960 shortbox I bolted a 87 front suspension to. I am missing some parts I have a question about. The new steering box is missing. Was this an inside the frame mounted steering box? Or outside steering box?
I want a power steering box to go on the outside of frame. Can anyone help?

On the 1980 truck, (pickup) it was outside the frame.

On an 80' C10 the steering box was mounted at an angle. You may want to find a Buddy with a 73' and up PU and get some measurements. The pitman arm will and drag link should help you position it.
