I can get everything I need for it through many sources except the front lower control arm bushings and shaft. Either they never wear out or absolutely nothing was ever made for them. Does anybody know any place I can get these parts of even adapt something new. If not I might have to junk this truck do to safety concerns about the front end. Any help much appreciated. David

I don't want to get into trouble by posting links to other forums, but I just did a search on google for "1962 c30 front suspension" and got a few hits, some are from the 67-72chevytruck forum.

| | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,971 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,971 | I have a 1960 c10. It is a torsion bar suspension. I just replaced it with a 1973 to 87 front suspension. I unbolted the engine cradle, torsion bars and a-arms. The "new" engine cradle with the 73-87 all in one piece. It bolted right up. There are a couple of holes that needed to be drilled because they are in a different location on the newer front end. It was easier than I thought. Now I have coil springs and disk brakes.
EDIT: The C30 frame is the same, so you could do this mod to your frame.
