So, I drove down to Iowa and picked up a really nice 235 to swap out in place of my tired 216 in my 1952 3600. The 235 is a 1954 model. I see two differences moving forward. It appears the pulleys are narrower than mine on the 216. I will be using the generator off of my 216 which has the wider pulley. Can the pulley on the generator be changed to the narrower pulley? What is my best plan of attack? Thanks JS

Yes, I did the same
I also used most of my 216 parts. Make sure the harmonic balancer matches the belt size. 5/8" I believe.

You can either swap the balancer and water pump from your 216 to the 235, which will solve the belt problem, or change the pulley on your generator to the one with the narrower belt groove. Just be sure all the pulleys match, whichever way you choose to go. I'd suggest using the wide belt components and adapting the center-bolt valve cover to fit the 235 to make the engine bay look closer to original.
