Made it back to home base about 9:45pm. As you can see from Mike K’s photos the theme of this years show was overwhelmingly GM. Fun time was had by all and Don along with his crew of minions pulled off another successful Reunion. Thanks to John for calling to check on us. Long day but well worth it.😎

I also thought it went well. With the power entrusted to me by the Grand Pooh Bear, John C. Milliman, I just sat back and gave out orders.

I also want to thank everyone for the help. Everyone really pitched in and made this another great event!
THANKS!!!

Also want to Thank Mongo and the hosting club for taking great care of us again!

Vicki has been asleep for an hour now, and it's time I joined her.

Just got in went the northern route pretty as I was told when I started east. Ran into detours About 12 !/2 hours did stop for a proper lunch for ones if can call Wendys proper. We should not forget Don's trusty sidekick, Rust Rod they both made everything work out. The truck ran great Mpg same as going out and oil presser remained steady. BTT I got out to pump gas I walked like an old man, which Btw I am. Good to see everyone again. BTW I got 2 lectures on why we should not reserve through the Internet and all I received when I checked out was basically a blank piece of paper, no pricing he said it would come from Turo. who will get a commission?

Here's a link to a panoramic of our Stovebolt.com lineup. I caught all but one of our vehicles, which was parked behind me at the time.

This is what happens when you live with a house-full of women, the wife and daughters name all the cars:

1965 Corvair Monza Convertible
1967 C20 "Ol' Blue" (hidden in a log cabin for 30 years)
1972 SuperBeetle Convertible - "Juliet"
1976 SuperBeetle Convertible - "Olaf"

Rusty Rod pulled into the Rod Hacieda about 8 pm mountain time. The trip was pretty uneventful, except for one idiot in a small car that managed to squeeze his car into the space in front of my truck as traffic was slowing down rapidly. THEN he did the same thing to another car at highway speeds!! The highlight of the trip was a fanciful light show put on by the cloud. Very pretty, but then the downpour occurred! I had to slow down to a respectful speed.

Thanks for all the kind words and the chitter chat through the weekend. I hope to see even more folks there next year.

I should mention that we were the second-largest group of vehicles at the show. The club that was on the grassy hillside to our south had 13 trucks in attendance.

Vicki and I got home about 6pm. We both took a nap then.
We had 12 trucks with our group. 36 people at the meeting and a lot of door prizes.
Thanks to Shakey61, the T-Shirts looked great
Brooke Johnson got a trophy for her truck.
Mike did his flare tool demo. There was a short discussion about anvils and another discussion about hydrovacs.

AD Hawk lost brake fluid Saturday evening. The meeting of minds checked it out Sunday and he had a brake line leak.
Formulated a fix and got him on his way.

DJ was way loud at HQ, but we still got it done.

Thanks everyone, for pitching in to make this Reunion a success!

Time for bed.
Don

Good reports and great pics!! I've never seen so many pictures of 48 Bigtrucks' back side! smile Don, it was cool of you to bring your father in law (that's who I saw sitting next to the red head, yes?? nanner )

Man, Wayne has done some redecorating in that building since the last time I was there .... Good to see the '29 1-ton is still there. I always liked that truck.

Good to see some adult leadership on hand (Pat Wahl running the Stovebolt Booth smile -- Thanks Pat!! And I see Jim Carter was across from us -- we should charge him for that ... wink

Keep the pictures coming -- I will show them to Miss Peggy. They will brighten her day.

Glad to hear it was a success.

Dad and I made it back to Michigan late last night.
Great time, with great people....well worth the 1,500 plus mile round trip.
Thank you to the Stovebolt Community for making this a must attend annual event for my Dad and I.

Here are a few photos: Tool Demo, Anvil Seminar, and Don's Chalk Board.

Don, Are you going to bump the price for the new custom paint job?

Don's '48 3/4-ton 'chalkboard' was quite a hit with the kids. It may be worth the effort to bring something (an old hood, tailgate, or door) every year for them to draw on.

I had a great time and took pictures for the club. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures for myself. I'll have to download some of these quality images to remember. Anyone who missed this year really missed out.

Looks like everyone had a great time. Some nice trucks. Hoping to make it next year or the year after. The '65 Crusty Biscuit should be in good running condition by then. It is now, but will be gone through front to back starting this week.
