This always created the issue of the pre filter in the vacuum being clogged by dust. I ordered a cyclone attachment to add to the vacuum, on Amazon. Works great to separate the dust before it enters the vacuum. I have no tie to this company, just wanted to share a good product. A little pricey for what it is but well worth the time savings of having to blow out the filter. https://www.amazon.ca/Dust-Deputy-Deluxe-Cyclone-Separator/dp/B002GZLCHM | | | | Joined: Feb 2019 Posts: 4,100 AD Addict & Tinkerer | AD Addict & Tinkerer Joined: Feb 2019 Posts: 4,100 | I bought a top for a 5 gallon bucket from HD for forty bucks. Works great for separating the glass blasting media but the fine dust does seem to get thru after awhile. I bought it mainly for saving the blast media so I could reuse it. Before, the vacuum filter was plugged solid after an hour. Now I can go several days before I need to clean the filter. I do have two filters, so I hose one out and have another to use while the other is drying. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Dustopp...th-2-5-in-Hose-36-in-Long-HD12/302643445

That is way less expensive that buying a system from a blast-cabinet company. | | | | Joined: Oct 2018 Posts: 112 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2018 Posts: 112 | A couple of great posts! My solution has always been to tie a t-shirt over the filter in my shop vac. Then it's as easy as shaking the thing out when it gets clogged. Easy enough to throw the t-shirt in the wash after shaking it out, if it's getting really dirty. In the end, I save a ton of money on shop vac filters. Chris
