Please refer to the enclosed pics. On my '52, 3100, 216 cu in, it appears there is an additional set of heater hose connections. What do these unused connections belong to?

Those are for the heater control valve that come with deluxe heaters. They are very prone to leaking, more like gushing. They are often bypassed like yours has been. If you want to hook it up you need to replace or rebuild it. George

You can rebuild it to stop it from leaking, or you can disassemble it and re-engineer it to delete the seal so that is will never leak again. It won't operate any longer, but they never really did work very well anyway. You want the coolant to just flow right through with some restriction. If you don't provide some restriction in it, you will melt the shoes off the ole lady.

I've seen that picture before. It always bothered me that they crossed the hoses at the valve. I put mine on without crossing the hoses before I saw it, but now I don't want to make a mess by switching them around so that they are on the "right" way. I will do it before next Homecoming just in case Tim 'tclederman" shows up. Carl
