Good evening everybody! I’ve finally gotten settled in my new place in central Illinois. I’m back at making progress on Mo. I’ve been able to procure a two post lift and I am working on getting my new shop in order. I’ve got a replacement 235 and I’m working on re-sealing it now. I’ve also bought a crank drilling jig to drill out the crank so I can bolt the balancer on. The engine currently in Mo has a very bad habit of walking off- and the snout has been severely abused in what I think were attempts to get the balancer to stay. In any case I miss Stovebolt and it’s contributors and I look forward to posting progress on Mo as I move along. Here are a couple pictures of Mo with her feet off the ground! :-)

So.... the replacement 235 is in the stand and is being stripped down. I bought an aluminum cam gear but I’ve got reservations about replacing the fiber gear that is currently installed. Thoughts? The fiber gear looks to be in great shape.

Agreed. I plan on making up for lost time! Soooooo much to do!
The new shop space needs a bunch more to get it in shape ( new roof, tuckpointing and windows for example) but I had the 1/2 that was dirt poured with 6” of concrete and I’m itching to get Mo mobile this summer. I’ll be posting progress as I go along. Have I said I miss this place already?

Your 54 is a mashup to sheet metal. Split window cab is pre 54. It looks as tho front clip or cab have been changed out...But ..looks good.

Franken truck for sure. Was a backwoods wrecker when I bought it. Rear axle moved back quite a bit to accommodate the wrecker configuration. Thus the home made stakeside bed. I’ll post some better pictures when I have a chance. Here’s a few of the bed and from the side at the old abode.
