Good evening everybody! I’ve finally gotten settled in my new place in central Illinois. I’m back at making progress on Mo. I’ve been able to procure a two post lift and I am working on getting my new shop in order. I’ve got a replacement 235 and I’m working on re-sealing it now. I’ve also bought a crank drilling jig to drill out the crank so I can bolt the balancer on. The engine currently in Mo has a very bad habit of walking off- and the snout has been severely abused in what I think were attempts to get the balancer to stay. In any case I miss Stovebolt and it’s contributors and I look forward to posting progress on Mo as I move along. Here are a couple pictures of Mo with her feet off the ground! :-)

So.... the replacement 235 is in the stand and is being stripped down. I bought an aluminum cam gear but I’ve got reservations about replacing the fiber gear that is currently installed. Thoughts? The fiber gear looks to be in great shape.

Good to see ya back. Four years away is just unacceptable.

Agreed. I plan on making up for lost time! Soooooo much to do! The new shop space needs a bunch more to get it in shape ( new roof, tuckpointing and windows for example) but I had the 1/2 that was dirt poured with 6” of concrete and I’m itching to get Mo mobile this summer. I’ll be posting progress as I go along. Have I said I miss this place already?

Franken truck for sure. Was a backwoods wrecker when I bought it. Rear axle moved back quite a bit to accommodate the wrecker configuration. Thus the home made stakeside bed. I’ll post some better pictures when I have a chance. Here’s a few of the bed and from the side at the old abode.
