For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 543 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 543 | I've come across a complete '71 Cad CdV in great shape (from the doors forward!). It got hit hard in the left quarter and spun the right quarter into a pole, but the accident didn't affect the drivetrain. Does anyone make brackets to fit the complete 500 setup in a '41-'46? I'm going with a Mustang IFS and a F-ord 9" rear on the stock Chevy frame. Suggestions???

I have a Cadillac 4.5 ltr which runs pretty well. I've been wondering about using it as the power for an S-10/Astro based all-wheel-drive AD pickup.
Probably just a crazy thought, but its a Cadillac in an old truck, so I had to share it here.

might want to look at 318/340/360 mopar engine mounts OR build a plate off the engine to accept a chevy mount(use a HD mount with the locking tabs)

If you haven't thought of it already it is going to make your truck way front end heavy. They also require a large amount of cooling so that will have to be upgraded also.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just my thoughts.
