It's built on a 2-ton chassis (I think) because it has the brake at the rear of the transmission and it has the heaviest danged rear dually axle. My intention is to put a little lighter rear dually axle and v-8 with auto up front. Right now it is all original and in pretty good shape. Any suggestions on where to start? Is there a chance I'll find someone who wants original parts for an old heavy truck? Thanks in Advance!

I work a 24 hour shift without computer access. Mongo, you are welcome to come see it, of course it ain't much to look at just yet. The rear end is definitely available. I haven't measured a chevy dually but I measured a f**d dually this morning that is the same width as the ole' bus. The front end looked like it may be adaptable too! I've seen a chevy's here in KC that had an old bus parked beside it. If I could just remember where I saw it :-(
