I replaced/am replacing the Vent Window Seals on my '54 6100. The main vent window seal (the L portion) fits just fine. The division post seal is where I am having an issue. I got my new seals from Steele Rubber. The exact issue is there is a gap when the vent window is closed. There is a 1/8" space from top to bottom between the glass and where the edge of the seal is. You can seal right between the two. Anyone else have this issue and what did you do.

By the way, I replaced the windshield seal also from Steele Rubber and it seems to fit too tight. The window is in but not quite all the way.

Not familiar with your exact problem but I think my 52 panel is about the same.
Question....did you pull the vent window glass out of its frame and put new tape in it?? If so, maybe you pushed the glass back into its frame to far???

I had a similar problem but I also did my vent glass....and when I put the vent glass back into the frame I closed the vent window and then "pulled back/out" on the vent glass a little to make it snug with the vertical seal without compromising the seal of the vent glass its self.
Note: I had tried a steele seal on another AD, before my panel, and was not impressed with it or the cost. I ordered the ones for the panel from Classic Parts and have never looked back and that was 5 years ago.....just saying!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
