Hey there, thanks for letting me into your group and for what I know is going to be a wealth of knowledge as I stumble through repairs my first ever Chevy!

I just got my 57 3200 into the driveway as it got dark tonight. Picked it up last week on the way home from a camping trip (in our 75 VW bus with the wife). She ended up driving the truck while I drove the bus, and unfortunately the truck developed a good oil leak so it got towed the rest of the way. It was epic if you think about the stress of having the wife involved in this saga! I had work travel, and had promised her would not be another disassembled project (too often) - so I took it to the local garage and just got it back tonight. It was the timing belt cover and seal that blew out. Actually glad I got this one fixed so I can tackle a list of other needs. I wanted a long bed, and I intend to use it - its not a trailer queen but it's tidy and has the things I was looking for.

I'm sure I'm going to ask some stupid and obvious questions - but I've realized thats just how it is when you work on something for the first time.
