More sad news. Not sure how many BC Bolters visit the Greasy Spoon, but Alvin posted that his wife Victoria passed away today. For those who aren't familiar with Alvin, he and Victoria came up to visit BC from Boiling Springs, South Carolina back around 2010. They made a big impression on us with there generosity and fun loving personalities. I was lucky enough to visit Alvin in Boiling Springs two years ago, but Victoria was away taking care of her father at that time. She will be dearly missed and I know this will be a difficult time for Alvin.

Hy Paul, thank you very much for informing the B.C. Bolters of Victoria's passing. I can't imagine what Alvin is going through right now. He and Victoria were so much fun when they came out for a visit, I am so glad we got to meet and host them. Alvin will be in my thoughts for a long time.

It was with a heavy heart that we learned of Victoria's passing on Facebook... she was truly a fighter and gave it all she had...
So glad to have had the chance to host Alvin and Victoria when they came to visit us 9 years ago... I had really hoped we'd have the chance to do so again frown
Rest In Peace, Victoria... we'll miss you!

Thank you for the sad news. I had been emailing Alvin over the last year or so discussing Victoria and as I lost my wife as well we shared stories. I have not been on the 'Bolt for some time I was not aware. Alvin had stopped writing so I figured things with Victoria were much more important understandably so.
I for one thought she was going to make. She was one helluva fighter.
Deepest sympathies to Alvin.
