I believe someone was having issues with getting parts they'd paid for from Patricks a while back. If I remember right they tried to contact them for quite a while unsuccessfully. I don't know how it finally resolved. He may be out of business.

Lots of bad customer experience on the inter web with Patrick’s. They just don’t seem to care about customer service any longer.

There is a long line of victims that have been screwed over by Pat.

Pat has numerous credit card companies after him.

Some of the people he has ripped off have reported him to the Arizona Attorney General office.

Some have reported him for theft to the Casa Grande AZ. police department.

From what I have heard the Casa Granda P.D. is referring all of his theft complaints to the Pinal County Sheriffs Office & the Good Ol' Boys over at the P.C.S.O. are actually following up & harassing Pat until the refunds are issued.

BBB gives him a big "F''..................you

https://www.bbb.org/phoenix/busines...eviews-and-complaints?section=complaints

Only the people that don't know any better continue to give him their credit card number.

Thanks for the replies i am one of the victims of this to the tune of 1grand 355 gear set, bearings oakie bushing, carier.had good rating from this site when ordered over 2 years ago.kept getting excuses.A lot of people advised he woulld come good just a older guywaiting for a few orders before sending them out .I guess i have to move on was going to give up on the truck as i wanted the upgrade but it sucks to have to pay twice for the parts .Maybe the site here can somehow put a warning about this buesness as there are a lot of older posts with good things about them and it would be great if they never see a penny from other stovebolters.I have been calling at least once a month and was given all kinds of excuses at one point called with interest in ordering more and got a call right back but whenever i called for the parts i orderd i would not get a call. So please dont get upset with me as i will be reminding bolters of this rip off artist Patrick Dykes,Denise, and i believe there son phillip.

His wifes name is actually "Danese".

We have actually spent some time crawling up each of their rear ends for more info.on the behalf of our friends who were ripped off by them.

I don't want to get into any of the embarrassing personal "dirty laundry" we were able to dig up on each of them but....

They were "really nice polite folks" when 6 of us showed up in person to collect the cash he owed one of our friends .

All 3 of them have become a tag team of scam artists.

A recent picture that one of our infiltrators was able to get of "Pat -Tricks" a few months ago.

An older picture of Him & his wife Danese.

And one of son Phil.

Kevinski, do you think a call to the LOCAL sheriff in hopes a visit from him would help?

While we do try avoid "vendor bashing" here on the bolt I think this is an exception and well documented enough that perhaps a "sticky" should be in a forum to warn potential buyers to beware......as long as its documented. Truth is the truth. I have been "taken advantage of" on a few occasions and the only way to not let them win is to move on. We may have to forgive but we do not have to forget! They will get their reward.

I have ordered in march of 2016 and have had been very patient and do not want to vender bash but it is the truth and the reason i did order was from reading a lot of thease posts. Also the reason i have held off was also from hearing about how great a guy this patrick was and thought he was having some troubles and would come good on my order. My intention is to warn others as a thousand bucks is a lot of money for me as well as my truck has been sitting waiting to be repaired while all i get is excuses and long distance phone bills .There are still recent posts mentioning this place.(check the driveline section and there is mention of this vender for a tool),I hope the person looking for the tool finds out about this vender or if he places a order he may not get it .

On a happier note i after 2 pluss years took the valve cover off my 54 lubed up the valves lifters and rockers rolled the 235 over by hand and after a few charges for the battery the 54 fired up .I have to fix a few oil leaks and at least for now get a oakie bushing because i think oil is going from the trans to the diff.

When I was shopping for my new Cam a few months back I was considering getting one from Patrick's. THEN I stumbled on the thread on the H.A.M.B. and it changed my mind! I went with the Elgin Cam and hope to fire it up soon! Good luck on your build!

Pat got virtually ALL of his internal & engine rebuild parts from Egge Machine.

You can get all of your own engine parts for cheaper prices if you buy directly from Egge & eliminate Pat as the middle man.

https://egge.com

I hear Pat screwed alot of guys out of the Fenton dual intakes even when he had a pallet of them sitting in his shop !!

Sad really. He used to have a great reputation for service and great parts. At one time he answered his own phone, I have been told. I found out years ago that he/they don't respond to emails. I wonder if he got in too deep financially, upside down so to speak, and couldn't get out.

I will echo Mr. Lederman’s “be careful” if dealing with Patrick’s and add my name to the list of documented victims. The cost was several bucks I couldn’t afford plus several months of delay.

I spent some time talking with Patrick on the phone back a few years ago. I sent him a set of pistons and con rods he wanted. Told me at the time he couldn't afford the $50. At the time it seemed to me he was being run by his son. And that Patrick was in a diminished mental state. I know he HAD a good reputation at one time, but not anymore.

My first part order ever was three years ago when I first started the project. Being Naïve and new to the hobby, I didn't know what to expect. I got his son on the phone, Phillip. Would talk your ear off and threw more F words than a drunken sailor. Waited 6 mo. for a short water pump and an alternator (that I now know could've been bought at O'reillys) Both items were supposedly on "back order" for 6 mo.......really? They charged my credit card immediately though. Now I know that those parts are common from multiple vendors.

Both items I received were "seconds" and had been installed before. Those two items are still on my truck and I keep burning up belts due to the wobble in the water pump pulley......Junk. Just glad my Debit card information wasn't stolen.

I think we all agree Patrick's is not the place to do business with. We are beginning to stray. Time to move on

Received word today from Patrick's wife Danese that Patrick passed away earlier this week.
