For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 238 Rustbucket Ranch | | Rustbucket Ranch Joined: Jul 2018 Posts: 238 | Hey everyone! Been lingering around the forum for a little while, finally decided to officially register here.
I'm a 26 year old dude who has a soft spot for old trucks. My dad and me have been slowly working on his '55 3100 that he's owned since the mid-70s. I have a '58 3800 1-ton that I acquired earlier this year, which is currently disassembled. Also have a '49 3100 that's been in the family pretty much since new. And hopefully in a few weeks, I'll be picking up a '59 Spartan 100 winch truck.
I plan on learning some needed info and gain some pointers for working on these old rides! | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,440 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,440 | Welcome to the Stovebolt madness it is not curable!

Advice: Think about what forum you want to post your question in. Always indicate the make/year/model-series of your truck when you post a question.
Good luck with your trucks.

We owned a house there while our daughter was going to A&M. Ate lots of Layne's Chicken and hamburgers at some place out of town (something bridge). Hope you enjoy the site. If you run across a 3100 down that way with a bad engine, I have an easily rebuildable 235 I haven't decided what to do with yet. 1956 year and mostly complete.

Very neat Jon! I believe you're referring to Koppe Bridge, pretty good burgers. My '58 could use a new engine, though I'm not sure which route I wanna go with it yet. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 362 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 362 | | | | | | Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 4,482 Moderator, Electrical Bay | | Moderator, Electrical Bay Joined: Mar 2014 Posts: 4,482 | Koppe Bridge! Yes, that's it. They were good hamburgers. We were off of George Bush Dr down Pershing Ave and from the house could walk to school in 5 minutes or so. Still think of the place with fond memories, but I imagine the town has grown quite a lot since then.
