Have a Delco Remy generator that I need to I.D. Model # 1100013, serial # 2G8. Any help would be appreciated!

6 volt 35 amp, short body 2 brush Delco. Used in 1952 and still wide belt. 2G 8 would have been the date code of the generator. 2=1952, G=July, 8=the day. July 8th 1952 was generator build date.

If he doesn't know the difference between an alternator and a generator by looking at it, then he's in serious trouble. Google picture of an alternator. If it looks like the picture then you know which one you have. eeeek

wellllll, lets seeeee..............does it have a red tag or a black tag on the alternator or the generator? one is 6 volt the other is 12 volt !!!!

Ken, I was looking at a 1102777 generator that a buddy had in his shop
and the date code was 3M4. Would that be 1954, Sol, 04?
At what point in time did GM use the Moses B. Cotsworth calendar, i.e.
the "International Fixed Calendar" with 13 months at 28 days each.?
