Hi. I recently bought a 49 gmc 3/4 and have been reading through these forums and have it running pretty consistently. The truck has a garage logo on the door and that garage is still here in Colorado Springs under a different name now. The garage is 4 doors down from my music studio where the truck will live for a time and parked for all to see. The truck came with a truck bed trailer which is a 1957 chevy bed with the spare indent. I may be selling that trailer at some point. ..... But I'm also starting my real project restoring my 1976 chev pu that I bought brand new in 1975... .I've located a bed for that and the rest of that truck is in great shape but not run since 2005. I did learn about bad gas on my 1949 gmc so that knowledge will be used and appreciated on my 76.. I know this forum is not about newer trucks so i won't mention my 76 again.. Thanks for all the help so far and I'll post pics of the 49 as soon as I figure out the process. . thanks.. RT from the Jamshack.

Jamshack, Welcome to the Stovebolt and congrats on your ride. You will find plenty of help here on the bolt. This is the place to be if you own an old Chevy or GMC....even a binder. (IH)

Note, while if you need some help on the 75 please realize you can post modern questions in the Greasy Spoon. Feel free to ask questions there. One of the secrets to getting answers on the bolt is to post in the most appropriate forum for the best results. Over the years I have found each forum to have a few that are good at what they do be it Paint and Body or Engine or interior and such. Some visit and post primarily in the forum of their expertise and others, like me, read just about every forum post each day.
We are here to help.....Knowledge is the Best Resource. Check out the tech tips, and gallery photos. There is much here to absorb and learn your way around and how to do "searches" for hours of reading.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Alvin, the Modern GM and non-GM Forum is in the Swap Meet Forums and is for sales only. He can post his questions about ‘73 and newer in the Greasy Spoon. Don’t want to get him off on the wrong foot. secret

Welcome to the 'Bolt. Please check in to the "Rocky Mountain" forum as well (if you haven't done so yet). It's real quiet there tho.

Another quality post.

That grille guard is wicked looking......!!
Not everyone can get to photobucket but if you can try this. The above link did not work.

FYI ...jamshack, not everyone can access photobucket thiese days as they do not let you do 3rd party posting unless you pay them rather handsomely!
