There are limits to how far you can go because you end up actually removing some material and at some point it affects the optics. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 874 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 874 | | | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,756 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 1,756 | Noticed eastwood talks about removing film buildup also.. I posted how a year or so ago. A search may turn that thread up. Unless you have an expensive or impossible to find windshield it would probably be better to replace it.

It was sold at Home Depot (Ryobi) polishing compounds in the tool section $4.00. Checker also sells a compound on a cooton wool type of product for polishing chrome wheels that works good. Name escapes my old brain at the moment. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 128 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 128 | Tooth paste will remove shallow scratches, but the deep ones, well usally a big rock get's rid of those! | | |
