I just finished final assembly on driver and passenger doors on my 50 truck model 3100. Both my driver side and passenger windows all work fine except both windows stop approximately 1" from rolling up all the way. My regulators are after market. I can't find any nut ,bolt ,etc. hanging them up. Is it possible my install of of both regulators not "clocked" correctly where 3 screws attach? Wrong regulators or just plain junk. Thanks in advance of any suggestions. Old Norse

Not knowing diddly about AD trucks, mine are earlier models, my guess is the window sweep rubber might be too wide. I recently went through this experience with my ‘46. I have more info to share, if my assumption is correct.

old norse, are your windows new locally cut glass?

My 52panel glass was cut locally and although I gave them the pattern they would not roll up when installed. I tried and tried, or should say cried and cried, until I took them back out and "double checked" to the pattern. My 52 doors have a slight slant to them and as the window goes up it gets tighter at the top......problem? The glass man cut them to straight, thinking on his own that they were suppose to be straight. They cut new ones free of charge and they work like a champ.....when they used the "exact" pattern. Could this be your problem??

Window regulators attach to the door with 4 bolts, not three.

Do you still have the original regulators so you can check the the repros?

I am sorry what do mean by repros? Hey MNSmith I can't count 4 not 3 thanks for correction. Upon further review of problem appears that crescent shaped gear which engages round gear on window crank does not travel its entire length.

Is one of the teeth on the crescent gear damaged so that it hangs up at that spot when it tries to engage with the crank gear?

Thanks for all responses. I am going to dig out my original regulators, compare, and quite possibly rebuild the originals. (should have done that from the start)
