I’m using goodmark patch panels. The passenger side lined up really well except for the front section of the lower lip. It’s about an inch away from the rocker panel. I wanted to confirm with anyone that has done these cab corners that the hole in the lip of the patch panel is supposed to line up with a hole in the bottom of the rocker. If that’s the case I’ve got some “massaging” to do....

I haven't gotten to my cab corners yet, but have seen some videos of having to do some serious metal shrinking to get the proper fit on cab corners. Here's one I ran across. heat shrinking video

I watched a grown man brought to tears from neglecting to check the fit with the door in place AND properly adjusted before he welded everything up tight. It had to come back off!!!

I am currently digging back in to a 1953 3800 (one ton) with a nine foot bed. I've owned it since 1979, and drove it until 1982 (or so). My wife got me involved in restoring it back in 2002, got the body removed and the frame redone, then things came up. Now I am retired and starting again. If anyone is interested I have photos on Imagur ( https://timwhiteblues.imgur.com/ ). I live way back in the woods in the Ozarks on 40 acres at the end of a 2 1/2 mile private road. Tim

Good to know that you found them satisfactory. I did see that you needed to extend both, but that was probably just because your rust extended past the patch panel size. Did you have the cab on a rotisserie or just stand it on it's top?

I added a small strip of sheet metal so as to overlap the joint (on the inside) then spot welded that to the existing cab. And the cab was just sitting on its top to make it easier to work on. I ahd to replace a lot of the sheet metal all around the cab, but was careful to work on one section at a time to keep things lined up.
